This summer my friend got really lucky. He is going to Italy with his family. From Italy my friend is flying straight to the UK where my friend is spending a month with his pen friend. It’s the first time he is going abroad and he doesn’t speak very good English.

Here is some advice : 1. After arriving at the airport you need to find a trolley for your baggage.

2. You need to check-in desk. (Show passport. Remember, if your baggage has weight more than 23 kilos, you must pay 25 pounds)

3. Your next stop is security check. (Get rid of sharp objects, liquids, unpack laptop, empty your pockets, take off your jackets and your shoes)

4. You look at the information board to see whether your flight is on time. If it is, you run to passport control where you quickly show your passport and then go straight to the gate.

5. If your flight is delayed, you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and go on to do some duty-free shopping.

Ok. You have arrived in the UK. You need to call your pen friend. You need to find a pay phone and do a domestic call. First dial 1, then area code and then the seven-digit phone number. If you need to take out money, find a cash machine. Insert your card into the machine. Choose the language. Enter your PIN code (You should remember your PIN by heart).
