We talk about pollution so often... But what is it? Pollution is bringing characteristic physical, chemical or biological agents into the environment. Pollution is one of the biggest problems in our world. What is Pollution?

Types of Pollution There are a lot of types of pollution but mostly it is biological , microbiological , mechanical , chemical , light , heat and wasting (e.g. throwing rubbish away).

Classification There is a difference between natural and anthropogenic sources of pollution. The natural contamination is associated with the activity of volcanoes, forest fires, mud flows and polymetallic ores in the ground; producing gas from the bowels of the Earth , the activity of micro-organisms, plants and animals. Anthropogenic pollution is connected with human activities.

Chemical Pollution A lot of factories pollute rivers, lakes and air. They pour out from all the waste into the waters. Look, what kind of harm they make. All chemicals that destroy nature are produced by manufactures.

Exhausts Every day there are lots of traffic jams in our world. So all exhausts go up in the air and pollute it. We need oxygen to breathe, but exhausts replace it. So, I guess, one day there won’t be enough air for everybody. I think, we have to change cars to bicycles . I am for healthy living and I believe I am not alone.

Wasting Did you know that people are really lazy ? If you did not, stand up and look around you. Do you see all these waste in the streets ? It looks awful, does not it ? Now imagine a big scrap-heap near you. It smells like something started to d ecompose. And it is true – thousands of rubbish lie there for years because there is not enough time to convert all this. How would you feel if it was near your house ? I do not want it. So decide for yourself-do you need all this ?

Greenhouse Effect Greenhouse effect is increasing of temperature of the lower atmosphere of the planet compared to the effective temperature , the temperature of the thermal radiation of the planet as seen from space. The idea of the mechanism of the greenhouse effect was first presented in 1827 by Joseph Fourier in the article “A note on the temperature of the globe and other planets”, in which he examined the various mechanisms of the Earth's climate. He considered as factors affecting the overall heat balance of the Earth (heating by solar radiation, cooling by radiation, the internal heat of the Earth), and the factors affecting heat transfer and temperature climate zones (thermal conductivity, atmospheric and circulation).

The Kyoto Protocol The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement adopted in Kyoto (Japan) in December 1997, in addition to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It commits developed countries and countries with economies in transition to reduce or stabilize greenhouse gas emissions . The Kyoto Protocol was the first global agreement on the protection of the environment, based on the market mechanism of regulation - the mechanism of the international emissions trading of greenhouse gas emissions. Countries that have signed the protocol: The vast majority, almost all of the country . Countries which have signed but not ratified the Protocol: the USA. Countries that have not signed the Protocol: Afghanistan , Andorra, Vatican, Western Sahara. Countries that have emerged from the report: Canada. Russia is also included in the Kyoto Protocol.

My Opinion In conclusion, I would like to say that we build our tomorrow today. Everything depends only on us. If people continue polluting our planet and do not want to see the difference between clean water and dirty water, fresh air and cocktail of toxic gases, lots of places where animals live and places without animals at all, happy healthy people and sad disabled people, we can stop resisting. But I believe that people will never give up. And one day, together, we will finish being harmful to the nature.
