We were in the museum of coffee in 16th of January 2013. It was fantastic! When we came there the smell of coffee was flying everywhere! The guide waited us. St. Petersburg Coffee Museum is the one and only such museum in Russia. It was f ounded in November 2008, this private collection illustrates а history of coffee from ancient legends to the late XX century, coffee harvesting, processing, roasting and consuming in different countries of the world. It strives to provide its visitors with an in-depth information on high-quality coffee and coffee culture in general. The museum offers various programs such as guided tours, coffee tasting shows, barista training.

The museum organizes various special events - presentations and conferences for coffee business professionals. It has own store presenting not only wide range coffees but also various coffee equipment and accessories.

The museum' coffee shop, The Coffee Terrace are the only places in the country where guests can try the best coffees including exclusive Museum blend and a variety of coffee drinks from espresso to cocktails and signature drinks made by leading city baristas. After the tour we sat in the Coffee Terrace. We drank a tasty coffee with ice cream and looked on the Neva. The tour was short, but very interesting! We think that everyone who loves coffee should visit this museum.

In our opinion there are more places in St. Petersburg, which are certainly worth seeing. Actually children are very much interested to know how things work and to try to understand the world around. Science museums are the best place to demonstrate and share knowledge in non formal way to the general public. We think gaining and sharing of knowledge is an unending process. The greatest thing we would like also to mention about the role of museums in society is spreading knowledge to the children.
