" Tower Mary Axe " Tower Mary Axe , ( 30, St Mary's Ex 30 born 30 St Mary is the Axe ) famous London skyscraper , which has 40 floors in height (180 m) and called the British " Tower Mary Axe ". The design of this tower is made is as mesh shell with a central support base . It was build in 2001-2004. The designer of the building is known architect Norman Foster . The first world's skyscraper which is named " green skyscraper ” . For t he green glass and form of the tower Londoners nicknamed it " cucumber " (The Gherkin ).

«London Eye» Ferris wheel in London («London Eye»). The height of this building is 135 meter s and forty-five floors . A ny visitor to the London can see almost all capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain being on the top of the London Eye. This is a project of two architects : Julia Barfield and David Marks , who won the design competitio n. It has thirty-two completely enclosed and air-conditioned cabins for passengers . Each of them is made in the form of egg . Thirty-two is not a random number , it is symbolized the number of suburbs around London. Each c apsule is ten ton s weight , and each can hold up twenty-five passengers . The London Eye can move constantly with speed centimeters per second . It never stops for passengers to climb on a board , because the speed of the movement is enough to make anybody could make safe landing . 8

« Millennium Bridge » Millennium Bridge (London Millennium Footbridge ) - the youngest bridge in central London . This is the first new bridge over the last millennium . It was built to commemorate the arrival of a new , third millennium and was one of the several large-scale structures that were built in London in connection with the celebration of the Millennium . June 10, 2000 the bridge was inaugurated in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II. On this day about 100 thousand people walked across the bridge . T wo thousand people were on the bridge at the same . It turned out that the bridge too far swayed from side to side because from the resonance . First , it was made t he limit to the number of people at the same time passing over the bridge , but it has led to long queues . A few days later the bridge was closed for reconstruction .

«Royal Botanic Gardens » Royal Botanic Gardens , Kew Gardens , which for is simply called Kew Gardens - is 121 acres of gardens and greenhouses in south-west London.
