Where is it ? It’s a specially protected natural area in Russia . It’s located in the southern part of Primorye on the territory of the Ussuri and Shkotovo Districts i n the southern part of the Przhevalsky Mountains .

Flora Firstly , the Preserve was organized to protect forests . The flora is almost entirely composted of forest species . Ninety-nine percent of the area is occupied by forests , including 868 species of plants , 15 of them are recorded in the Red Books of the USSR and Russia .

Fauna We can find different species of animals here . For example , the Amur tiger.

The Preserve is the habitat of the relict longhorn beetle , the largest Russia’s beetle species .

The Preserve plays an important role in protecting rare plant and animal species . Also there is a rehabilitation center for the education of orphaned bear cubs .
