Teens express their individuality in music, hobbies, clothes and behavior. They join the groups. Different subcultures exist in Russia as they do in other countries. There are Hippies, Punks, Goths, Emos, Freaks and other groups.

Young people are called tracers, who belong to Parkour.

Parkour emerged in France in 90-ies years, when young people had seen the film “Yamokasi”. Parkour is one of the sporting kinds of groups such as Bikers, Rollers, BMXers, Skateboarders, Snowboarders.

Their motto is “There are no frontiers, but there are only impediments”. Tracers are fond of wearing free and comfortable clothes. They can climb houses and jump off walls. Run, fighting skill and building climb is a part of Parkour.

The Hippies’ most important motto is « Make love, not war !»

Hippies emerged in the USA in 1965 . They usually listen to rock and roll. For example «I Got You Babe» . On the one hand hippies smoke, drink and take drugs but on the other hand they want to change the world for the best. Hippies are called “Flower’s children” because one of their motto is «Flower Power» .

Hippies emerged in Russia in 70-ies years. Hippies have liberal attitude and lifestyle, behaviour and attitude differ from social norms. They wear coloured clothes.

Punk rock emerged in the USA in 1964 . It wos aggressive, shocking and violent music. Soon a lot of teens listened to Punk rock and belong to PUNKS. One of the most famous music groups is “ Sex Pistols ”.

Punks are young people who dress in a shocking way to express their individuality. They have brightly coloured hair and wear metal chains.

They are thought to rebel against the society and the older generation. They reject everything.
