Cons are mainly of moral and humanistic properties because cloning i s not examined and studied very well and cloning of a human being will be irreversible and will affect the whole future life of the mankind. Who will decide how many people should be cloned, what people they should be?

The problem of the overpopulation would be obvious, if cloning were allowed.

There may be negative social consequences. Genetic constitution of humanity will become the subject of market trading. One of the possible consequences, is that because of the expensive cost of the technology, only the rich will be able to get additional benefits for their children, leading to the genetic improvement of the ruling elite.

The society has not been ready yet for the appearance of genetically modified people - and there will always hate and enmity between the old line, natural people - and new, artificial people.

Some aggressive leaders may get the opportunity to create cloned soldiers with genetic modification. No brains, no pains they say.

The future of cloning is unpredictable. The technology (at least for now) is not developed enough, and even scientists supporting “cloning” say that it is impossible to predict what properties of the "grown" people will appear in the nearest future and in a hundred years.

There will be difficulties with law, identification of such people. Nobody knows what to do with these new people. Do they legally (at least) differ from us? Do we need to give them a passport? Can we use "grown" babies for medical experiments - because no mother will accept them as her own child? Who would bring them up? How to teach them –just imagine what twenty "normal" seven -year old classmates would do with one "artificial"? So the decision is to create reservations? Whatever it would be it will be the division of humankind on this basis. And so on - a lot of problems which mankind is not ready to solve...
