My Summer Adventure

My summer adventure.

Hello. My name is Matyash  Maxim.  I am in the 9th year. I study at school number 7.  I live in Severomorsk. Severomorsk is the capital of the Northern Navy.  It is situated in the North of Russia. It is cold in our region.  We have a very long winter and a short summer. We have a long polar night in winter.

 As for me I like travelling.  I like to travel abroad. And I would like to tell you about the best summer in my life. It was last summer. Last summer I visited Egypt, Dominican Republic and Cuba. It was very interesting and exciting. I travelled with my mother and our friends.

The best time for me was on Cuba. I would like to tell you about it.  Cuba is the biggest island in the Caribbean Sea.  It is a very bright and musical country.  We stayed in the hotel for our spacemen. It was called Sol Sirenas Corall.  The hotel was large and comfortable.  It was not expensive for us. We lived in a spacious apartment. We had a good time there. We swam in the pool.  We ate exotic fruits and drank cocktails at the restaurant.

One day we spent in Havana. That day we got up early.  After an hour we were in Matanzas. It is a very small city. The first place which we visited  there was Hemingway’s house. I have read his books. It was interesting to know that his house was   very big. Author had a very big yacht. He had a special tower where he could write his books. We tasted reed juice there. I have never drunk it before. The juice was very tasty.  After that we went to the cigars factory. It was the famous factory which makes COHIBA. We bought a lot of cigars and rum for our friends. Vicar of Christ came to Havana that day. I saw him for the first time. It was so exiting! I have never seen him before. He is a very old man. Then we visited Capitola. It is the main political building in Cuba.

 Then we walked to the center of Havana. It was very old city.  Buildings were built in 17, 18 and 19 century. It was a very interesting trip.   Walking along the streets I found out that people use only old cars.  These cars are   about 50 years old.  They were Ford, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Moskvich and Lada.  I have never seen such old cars before.  We came to the hotel very late. We were very tied.  This excursion was very interesting for me. I like Cuba and  didn’t want to come back to Russia.

I want to visit Cuba again!
