Childhood and youth Vincent van Gogh was born in March 30 th in 1853 in the South of the Netherlands , near the Belgian border. Father of Vincent was Theodore van Gogh , a Protestant pastor, and his mother - Anna Cornelia Karbentus .

He did not play with other children. When he was 7 years old, he went to the village school, but after a year he was taken out, and together with his sister Anna he was educated at home, at the governess. Formation as an artist In 1880 Van Gogh attended the Academy of fine arts in Brussels (1880-1881) and Antwerp (1885-1886) There are many paintings and sketches which were written in middle of 1880`s. There are some of them: «Output of the Protestant Church» (1884-1885), «Peasant woman» (1885), «Shoes» (1886).

In 1886-1888, Van Gogh lived in Paris, attended the prestigious private art Studio of the famous in the whole of Europe teacher Р. Cormon , studied painting impressionism, Japanese prints, synthetic works by Paul Gauguin.

The last few years Creative heyday In 1888, van Gogh moved to Arles In the last week of his life, van Gogh painted his last and most famous painting: «Wheat field with crows». It was a witness of the tragic death of the artist.

O n July 27 in 1890 he attempted to commit suicide. Going out for a walk with drawing materials, sho о t himself with a pistol in the region of the heart, 29 hours after the injury, he died from loss of blood.

Sunflowers «Sunflowers» - the name of the two cycles of paintings by Dutch artist . The first series is dedicated to the laying flowers. The second series is depicted a bouquet of sunflowers in the vase. Two Paris paintings were bought by friend of Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin.

Starry night «Starry night» - was written by Van Gogh in June 1889. Since 1941, is kept in the Museum of modern art in New York. «Starry night» was not the first attempt Van Gogh's paint the night sky. In 1888 in Arles, he painted «The Starry night over the Rhone». Van Gogh wanted to portray the starry night as an example of the power of imagination .
