It was the first time in the history of the Soviet-Russian cycle racing she had won the bronze Olympic medal. O. Slusareva remembers that her victory was won at a high price. 2010 Winter Olympics - an international sporting event, held from 12 to 28 February 2010 in the Canadian city of Vancouver. Mascots of the Games were: Miga - a sea bear. Kuatchi - Bigfoot, originating from Canadian forests and dreams of becoming a hockey player. Sumi - "spirit of the beast." It is connected with many members of the Canadian Pacific coast fauna. It became the mascot of the Paralympic Games. A medal ceremony during the 2010 Winter Paralympics. Summer Youth Olympic Games 2010 - the first Olympic Games for athletes at age from 14 to 18 years. Held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010. On January 21 the International Olympic Committee announced the names of two cities-candidates to hold the Youth Olympic Games 2010: Moscow and Singapore. The capital of the first Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2010 was announced on February 21, 2008 by the IOC President Jacques Rogge at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Know ours! A young football player from Uzlovaya took part in the first World Youth Olympiad (Moscow). Yugine Fyodorov has played football for 3 years. He is the best football player in his team “Impuls”. His trainer A.Olenik is proud of the talented sportsman. Yugine had trained a lot before he went to Youth Games. He says that Moscow contests made deep impression on him. On this slide you can see an article from local newspaper “Znamya” about unique visiting world competitions. Yugine Fyodorov was the only sportsman from Uzlovaya in Tula delegation. He wishes he would take part in the next Olympic Games .

October 28, 2005 the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially approved the use of "Stars of Sochi" as the logo of the city - host of the Winter Olympic Games in 2014. Sochi Olympic emblem is a star of white and blue lines on a background of blue sky and mountain tops. The entire logo is designed in the colors of Russian flag. Blue - the color of sea and sky, white - snow, red - the color of victory.
