The facades of both schools are alike. However in modern school there are plastic windows and nice facing. These things make our modern school more attractive.
Слайд 4
As for interior, our school is becoming more modern and smart. Also the furniture in our school is more comfortable and nice than some decades ago.

In the Soviet Union there were a lot of school organizations. Т here were Octobers - pupils of primary school. Then they became Pioneers (pupils of secondary school). Pioneers took an active part in school life.
Слайд 6
When Pioneers entered the high school, they also entered the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. It was one of the most important organization in the USSR.
Слайд 7
It was very prestigious to take part in such organizations. Pupils who didn’t take part in them were very bad pupils and nobody liked them. Unfortunately, there are no such organizations in modern Russia. As for quality of education, it has been decreased greatly in our opinion.
Слайд 8
There were a lot of different clubs for students in every school many years ago and many students took part in them. All the clubs were promoted by government and school. In our school there are not so many clubs. They са n’t exist for a long time because of lack of promotion and some material help.
Слайд 9
As for food, it seems to be similar. But we are not judges and can’t say definitely.
Слайд 10
There were school uniform in every school in Soviet Union. It was compulsory for everyone. Now there are no such rules. Every school dictates its own orders. We can see that state schools in general have no uniform. But private schools have it. This system has its own pros and cons. We can’t say that uniform is a curse but we can’t say also that it’s a blessing.
Слайд 11
Let’s talk about textbooks. In the USSR every pupil got textbooks for free in school library. But now we should buy textbooks for our own money. Usually we waste a lot of money for them and it’s a real pity.
Слайд 12
In the Soviet Union there were about 30 pupils in every class and now there are about 20-25 pupils in every class. I think it is real advantage of modern school.
Слайд 13
So, we’ve talk about modern school and school in the USSR. You can see that every school has its own advantages and disadvantages. Despite of some circumstances we love our school!
