It was founded in 1824, but it was opened to public in 1839.
The Buckingham Palace . The Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British monarchs. Nowadays the Palace consists of 775 rooms
St. James’s Palace It is the oldest Palace in Great Britain. It was built in the 16 th century. It was the first official Queen’s residence before the Great Fire. Nowadays it is the residence of the Prince of Wales.
The Westminster Abbey It is one of the most religious place in the UK, the English monarchs were coronated and buried here. It was founded in the 7 th century. There is the Poets’ Corner.
St. Paul’s Cathedral It has 17 bells and 3 galleries – Whispering, Golden and Stone. A lot of famous people were buried here. Nowadays Music Concerts are held here.
Trafalgar Square It is the main square in London. It was named in honor of the victory in the battle for Trafalgar in 1805. It is the most favourite place among Londoners. You can see the Christmas Tree here on the Christmas Eve.
The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge
The Tower of London is one of the greatest symbols of Great Britain. It is the historical centre of London and it is one of the oldest buildings in England. It was a fortress, a castle, a prison and even a Zoo. The White Tower is the Heart of the Tower of London
The Houses of Parliament The building is situated on the bank of the river Thames. It has 3 towers and 1200 rooms. Big Ben is in the north side and since 2012 it is named Elizabeth’s Tower.
The Piccadilly Circus It was build in 1819. It is a circle square in London. The Circus is particularly known for its video display and neon signs. It is the most popular square in London.
